Hello everyone! I know it’s been a while, lol so much for consistency! But if you’ve been following along, you know I haven’t posted since May. My last post was all about navigating different seasons and relying on the strength and wisdom of God.
Well, God has a funny sense of humor, because shortly after posting that, my world was turned upside down. If I’m being completely honest, I had the hardest time remaining faithful through it. The fact that I didn’t know what to do or how to stay strong opened the door to a deeper level of fear and anxiety.
Truthfully, I felt like a hypocrite. Here I was sharing tools on how to navigate hard times, yet when uncertainty knocked on my door, I ran. I temporarily forgot that I’m not expected to have everything in this life figured out, and that I can always run to God for help no matter how I feel.
I let the enemy deceive me. For a couple of weeks, my mind was a total battlefield. I wrestled with so many heavy thoughts, especially this question: Why does God allow suffering? Or more specifically, Why would He allow these things to happen to me when He knows my heart and sees how I love and serve Him?
What I came to realize is that IT IS NECESSARY.
Honestly, that reality scares me. The thought of having to suffer as Christ did on this earth is terrifying. But I take comfort in knowing God will never leave my side. He was, is, and always will be right beside me. Unlike false gods, I serve a Savior who walked this earth, felt every pain, and truly understands what I’m going through.
The Bible promises that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us, and that He is with us until the end of the age. So today, let’s be encouraged as we share in Christ’s suffering. My brothers and sisters, there is glory waiting on the other side of this. God will get the glory out of your story just like He is doing with mine!
